He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Darcy and Florence Darcy (Mathes); and his siblings, Herman, Robert and Maxine Eagle.

He is survived by: his wife Elsie; his children, Nancy Mayfield of Texas, Sue Buckner of Nunica, Larry Darcy of Ravenna, Richard Darcy (Mary) of Coopersville, David Darcy (Cynthia) of North Muskegon and Daniel Darcy (Melba) of Lakeside; and his sister Virginia Young of Ravenna. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren.
