It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeyne Sue Smith of Ravenna, Michigan, born in Muskegon, Michigan, who passed away on December 10, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William DeJonge and Clare DeJonge (Bates); her husband Herbert Lee Smith; her grandson Dale "Bud" Ransom; her great grandchild Brendon Pearce; her siblings, Karen Fields (Bob), Alida Wall (Frank) and Michael DeJonge; and her brother-in-law Bud Lackey.
She is survived by: her children, Sue Melin (Dale), Herbie Smith, Linda Stebelton (Lonnie Smith), Billy Smith (Lisa), Richard Smith (Jill), Pam Smith (Tom Kosak), Paula Jones (Michael) and Tina Griswold (Rick); and her siblings, Holly Lackey, Danya Franczek (Henry) and Barry DeJonge (Jan). She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
