She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Larry Byers and Mildred Byers (Harper); her children, Carl Schutter (June) of Ravenna, Debra Ackerberg of Fremont, Roger Schutter of Kentwood, Vicki Arends (Vincent), Muskegon, Tim Schutter (Cindy) of Ravenna, Lori Bayle (Dennis) of Fruitport and Pamela Schutter of Ravenna; her brother Orville "Butch" Washburn of Norton Shores; her daughter-in-law Cathi Schutter; and her great grandchildren, Emmanuel and Colette. She was also cherished by 20 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren.
