He was predeceased by: his parents, Lars J. Pearson and Alma E. Pearson (Anderson); his stepfather Leroy Petit; his sisters, Signe Gobert (Walter "Kit"), Gladys Sundquist (Ray) and Marie Dabney (Floyd); and his son-in-law Bruce Fletcher.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne DeMars (Church); his children, Michelle Fletcher (Tom Corrigan) of Kingsford, Victoria Berg (Kevin) of Escanaba, Richard Pearson (Jeannie) of Rapid River, Mark Pearson (Debra) of Durango and Debra Pearson of Rapid River; his grandchildren, Herb Fletcher (Jennifer), Tracy Fletcher, Sara Weber, Brenda Scott (Steve), Kelly Berg, Jaime Leclaire (Chad), Justin Berg (Mikki), Jessica Pearson (Danny Cullen), Hannah Perkins (Steve), Jake Pearson (Jessica Fluette), Myah Pearson and Kevin Pearson (Heathyr); his sister Sandy Corwin (Vic) of Gladstone; and his pet Coco. He is also survived by twenty two great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
