He is survived by: his wife Debra LaPorte; his children, Phillip LaPorte (Ashley) of Apex, NC and Clarice LaPorte (Justin DeGroot) of Escanaba; his grandchildren, Skyler LaPorte, Annabella LaPorte, Emma LaPorte, Violet LaPorte, Trevor Irving (Carlie Mattonen), Max LeDuc, Owen LeDuc and Jackson LeDuc; his great grandchildren, Isla and Bodhi Irving; his siblings, Patrice LaPorte, Mark LaPorte (Sue), Jeananne Upright, Marta Norman and Michele LaPorte; and his brothers-in-law, Gary Forvilly, Dave Forvilly and Randy Forvilly (Christy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
