With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elaine M. Hammond of Rapid River, Michigan, born in Frankfort, Michigan, who passed away on April 8, 2021 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Roy Hanmer (Mary) and Mary Hanmer (Shively); her daughter Julie Saatio (Randy) of Rapid River; her grandchildren, Scott Saatio (Michelle) of Ishpeming, Brad Saatio (Jordyn LaFreniere) of Negaunee and Kristin Elliott (Matt) of Negaunee; her siblings, Art Hanmer (Shirley) of Mohave, AZ, John Hanmer (Barb) of Benzonia, MI and Arlene Peterson of Crystal Falls; her sister-in-law Phyllis Hanmer of Minnesota; her husband Harold Hammond; her son Scott Hammond; her brother Dean Hanmer; and her brother-in-law David Peterson. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
