He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Laurie Kern of Shelby Twp, Jennifer Luisier (Brian) of Morgantown, WV, Angela Cangemi (Joseph) of Shelby Twp, Jessica Tarnowski of Sunrise, FL, Mandi Tarnowski of Warren, MI and Sean Kern; his mother-in-law Mildred "Ma" Chilson; his brother Francis "Frank" Kern (Carole) of Sterling Heights, MI; and his nephew Jeff Troszak.
