He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Romps and Shirley Jane Romps (Schmitz); his brother Dennis Romps; and his granddaughter Rachel Kubitz. He is survived by: his wife Catherine "Katie" Romps; his children, Bill Romps (Chris), Theresa Oliver (Kevin) and Lisa Barinotti (Scott); his grandchildren, Katie, Beth, Megan, Heather, Sara, Grace and Geno; and his siblings, Ron Romps, Tom Romps, John Romps, Mike Romps, Bob Romps, Jim Romps, Pat Romps, Cheryl Stein, Diane Talford and Mary Carignan. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations, the family request a donation be made to St. Jude's Hospital.
