It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James R. Nelson (Quinnesec, Michigan), born in Bessemer, Michigan, who passed away on November 7, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Nelson and Signe Nelson (Riipinen); and his siblings, Robert, Jack Nelson, Betty Halme (Ben), Kathy Richards (Bill) and Karla Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Lorene "Winty" Nelson; his children, Robin Rasmussen (Jeffrey) of Kingsford, Jim "Jessica" Nelson of Quinnesec and Angela McLean (Jeff) of Iron Mountain; his grandchildren, Mark Rasmussen (Tiffany), Catie Schultz (Stephan), Michael Rasmussen (Jaime), Jamie Tinti (Joe), Carson and Ella McLean; his great grandchildren, Grayson, Chloe, Conway, Aria, Hadley, Hudson and Raelynn; his sisters-in-law, Jane Cashin and Flossie Nelson; and also Sherry Nelson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
