He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert William and Gladys Anges Hammond (McDonald); his son-in-law James Mansfield; and his brothers-in-law, Ken Jacoby and Doc.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn (Day); his children, Sara Luck (Bob) of Manistee, Amy Mansfield of Battle Creek, Beth Kelley (Pat) of Centreville, Brooke Hammond (Jerry Baker) of Lake and David Hammond (Wende) of Osseo; his stepchildren, Suzan Fickle (Loran) of Quincy, Ken Clayman of Coldwater and Mike Clayman of Quincy; his sisters, Harriet Olaynick of Quincy and Sue Jacoby (Dan) of Reading; and his niece Heidi Goforth. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
