He was predeceased by : his parents, L. D. May and Maxine May (Schaffer); and his brother Derald. He is survived by : his wife Cheryl (Wright); his children, Shelly Semon of Jackson, Bobbie Jo Kelso (Wade) of Harbor Springs, Heather Brown of Fishers, IN, Lindsay Dove (Dan) of Plainwell and Jacob May (Meredith) of Saginaw; his stepchildren, Alicia McGonagle of Boston and Ryan Rudy (Tish) of Coldwater; and his brother Marion May (Sue) of Allen. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Humane Society of Branch County.
