He was predeceased by: his parents, Rolland Shafer and Helen Shafer (Burch); and his brother Keith Shafer. He is survived by: his wife Kristine Olney; and his sisters, Linda Palmer of Coldwater, Colleen Fadden (Dennison) of Hillsdale and Brenda Hapner of Coldwater. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews.
