He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Gonyea and Clistie Gonyea (Richards); his siblings, Charles Gonyea, Thomas Gonyea, Eugene Gonyea and Jacqueline Segur; and his granddaughter Kaitlyn Gonyea.
He is survived by: his former wife Joyce Wilson; his children, Tammy Brewer, Michele Bryant (David), Tracie Breuer (Todd) and Jeffrey Gonyea (Erica Rivit); his former wife Mary Bowler; his stepchildren, Mauren Brendel (Dennis), Edward Bowler Jr. and Jennifer Bowler (James Katona); his wife Mary E. Gonyea; and his sister Barbara Breitenback (Henry). He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Houghton Lake Eagles (101 Crestview Rd, Houghton Lake, MI 48629).
