He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Wirick and Hazel Wirick (VanDette); and his sister Barbara Conrad. He is survived by: his wife Julie Wirick; his children, Melissa Miland (David) and Mathew Wirick; his grandchildren, Connor and Skylar; and his siblings, Clare Wirick, Carole Leining and Cynthia Wilson (Bill). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
