He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Volz and Emily G. Volz; his brother Wayne Volz; and his daughter Julie R. Volz. He is survived by: his wife Roberta Poor; his sister Donna Jones; his children, Karrie Foster (Bill), Dan Volz (Tracy) and Allyson Eischer (Lyle); his grandchildren, Zachary (Malorie), Ethan (Jillian), Jordan, Erin, Sydney (Ross), Andrew and Alex; and his great grandchildren, Easton, Maddox and Ellis.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center in Saginaw, Michigan, or to St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Vassar, in his honor.
