He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Ruelle; his children, Richard Jr. Ruelle (Joyce), John Ruelle (Joan), Kathy Johnson (David), Patti Taylor (Bill), Bonnie Thornberry (Craig) and Susan Concepcion; his grandchildren, John David, Jaime, Jerry, Joie, Michael Robert, Jennifer, Michael David, Phillip, Megan, Sarah, Tabitha, Rachel, William, Jeremy and James; and his brother Ralph.
