He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Miller and Ruth Miller (Burtch); his son Jason; and his siblings, Wayne, Merle, Jim, Emma and Betty.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Jane Miller (Loar); his sons, Chad (Candee), Adam (Claudia) and Curt (Jamie); his siblings, Dave (Toni), Alex (Diane), John, Dixie (Roy) and Dina (Ron); and his grandchildren, Ashlee (Kyle), Clayton, Lauren (Nick), Riley (Alyssa), Blake and Brenden. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
