She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Hockmuth and Mary Jane Hockmuth. She is survived by: her husband Bill Smith; her children, Sarah Bonini (Cole) of Woodbridge, VA, Jason Smith (Stephanie) of Berkley and Heidi McVeigh of Clarkston; her grandchildren, Megan, Madelyn, Mia, Roland and Simone; her sister Marianne Yates (Rob) of Wickenburg, AZ; her nieces, Melanie and Wendy; and her nephew Jared.
