He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold E. Scharf, Sr. and Hazel Scharf (Hoornstra); his former wife Kathy Scharf; his son Eugene Scharf; and his sisters, Cora Hartman, Sylvia Black and Gloria Rodriguez.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Scharf; his children, Dion (Bruce Deitz), Lloyd (Shelly) and Rhonda Thompson (Philip); his stepchildren, Kathy Lynn "Punkin", Peter Soler (Mary), Timothy Soler (Julie) and Libby Scharf; and his daughter-in-law Roxanne Scharf. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
