Freddie Jean Bourcier Marentette Obituary
Freddie Jean Marentette (Bourcier) of Prescott passed away on January 17, 2025, surrounded by her family at Mid-Michigan Medical Center of West Branch. Freddie was born on March 28, 1964, in Bay City, MI, to Sam and Donna Bourcier, and into the Sault Ste Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians.
Freddie had a love for classic rock and roll, country music, and enjoying life. Freddie's joy in life was her daughter Savannah. She loved spending time with her grandson Hayden. Freddie was very talented in the restaurant industry. She was a great cook, loved cooking soup and was known as the "Soup Queen" and Master Meatloaf maker at Dee's Pizzeria. Everyone she touched loved her. She loved to go to the Casino with her special Aunt Mary, her sisters, and spend her spare time with her casino family. Freddie was also gifted as a nurserywoman and spent several seasons flowering at Mix Farms.
Freddie is preceded in death by her parents Sam and Donna Bourcier, sister Lorna Jo Bourcier and sister-in-law, Lenor Bourcier. She is survived by her daughter Savannah Bourcier, and grandson, Hayden Mielke. She also leaves behind several siblings: Sheree (John) Mix, Connie (Don) Powell, Ron (Lori) Earl, Sam Bourcier, and Dan (Heidi) Bourcier, Shawn and (Tiffany) Stephens, a special aunt, Mary Spencer, several nieces, nephews, and other family members. She will be greatly missed.
