He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter P. Yates and Esther A. Yates (Harmon); his wife Joann Yates; and his daughter Laurie Yates. He is survived by: his children, Danny Yates (Maureen) of Lapeer, Pam Fisher (Doug) of Lapeer and Terry Yates (Sharon) of Tawas City; his grandchildren, Mandi Lane, Micki Nacy (Mike), Tiffany Fisher, Jeff Fisher, Amber Hinkley (Jonah) and Jamie Yates; and his great grandchildren, Alexandria, Billy Lane, Zak, Lukas, Sebastian Nacy, Allee, Shaylee Smith, Jace and Tilly Fisher.
