He was predeceased by: his parents, David Smith and Marzell Smith. He is survived by: his children, Heidi Smith, Jason Smith (Stephanie) and Sarah Bonini (Cole); his grandchildren, Megan, Madelyn, Mia, Roland and Simone; his siblings, David "Al" Smith (Janet), Terry Smith (Becky) and Susie Jackson (Rick); and his wife Jan Smith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations in Bill's honor may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
