He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Freer and June Freer (Rowley); and his siblings, Jack, Dennis, David Freer, Vicki Freer and Christine Sutherland.
He is survived by: his wife Claudia; his daughters, Kimberly Satterlee (Steven) of Burton and Heather Barnard (Mark); his grandchildren, Evan Satterlee, Dylan Satterlee, Elysabeth Delgado (Christian) and Erika Collins (Jacob); his great grandchild Lilah Delgado; and his brothers, Joe Freer, Richard Freer (Vivian) and Kim Freer (Carol).
For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or American Breast Cancer Foundation in memory of Melvin.
