He was predeceased by: his parents, John Douglas and Ann Martis, Jr. (Durkovic); his wife Daune Martis; and his sister Irene Coats. He is survived by: his children, Scott Martis (Cathleen Johnson), Shari Engle (Craig), Sandi Martis and Shannon Martis; his grandchildren, Jena, Jodi Martis, Richard Whitbeck and Dartanion Thomas (Sandra); his great grandchildren, Audrey, Braylon Whitbeck and Treaden Gallert; his stepgranddaughter Avery Engle; and his sisters, Dorothy Wirt (James) and Betty Dent (Jim). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
