He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Platte and Mary Platte (Gross); his wife Patricia; his children, Herbert and Jill; his granddaughter Amber; and his great grandchild Gunner.
He is survived by: his children, Judy (Jay), Tim (Amy), Ben (Diane) and Ted (Betsy). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson; brothers, sister, nieces and nephews.
