He was predeceased by: his siblings, Annie Schrauben (Wayne) and Stanley Gross (Jane); his brothers-in-law, William Schrauben, Thomas Zimmerman and Gordon Lehman; his grandson Joshua M. Heminger; his parents-in-law, George and Sue Lehman; and his wife Delores "Dee".
He is survived by: his children, Susan Heminger, Robert Gross (Stacy), Elizabeth Gross, Thomas Gross (Robin), Craig Gross and Scott Gross (Rachel); his siblings, Marie Schrauben, Rita Snitgen (Steve), Alice Zimmerman, Mary Beckhold (Rocky) and Gary Gross (Carolle); and his sister-in-law Patricia Ann Ollar. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
A rosary was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 3:45 PM at the Lehman Funeral Homes (210 E Bridge St, Portland, MI 48875). Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (520 W Grand River Ave, Portland, MI 48875).
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in memory of Don.
