In accordance with his wish cremation will take place and a memorial to honor and celebrate his life will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Thomas Tyler Family (checks payable to Jordan Tyler), c/o the funeral home.
Age 59, of Portage, MI, passed away at Centrica Rose Arbor Place on February 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 3, 1965, the son of the late James T. Tyler and Beverly (Rusch) Morford. Tom was a loving father, son, brother and friend who leaves behind wonderful memories to be cherished. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He enjoyed golf, bowling, fishing and football. He was a loyal Michigan State fan and loved all-things Sparty! Tom loved food and family gatherings and was most happy when the two could be combined. He had a great smile and terrific sense of humor. His greatest joy in life came from spending time with his only daughter Jordan, his "Princess". Tom loved his family and friends; had a special bond with "his boy" Dylan, and he will be missed by all. Tom is survived by his daughter Jordan (Bradley Webber) Tyler; three siblings, Valerie (James) Tyler-Clark, Michael (Denise) Pomerville, Debra (David) Pomerville; special nephews, Tyler and Dylan Clark; several other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
