She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Beemer and Doris Beemer (Horton); her husband William Burrell; her brothers, Albert, Irving, Ray, Douglas and John Beemer; her siblings-in-law, Cliff Bush, Ray Burnett, Diane, Jo and Roetta Beemer; her stepdaughters, Carole Gilbert and Barbara Strong; her son-in-law Dennis Berghuis; and her close friend Charlie Morin.
She is survived by: her former husband Arthur Mortimer Jr.; her children, Mary Anne Berghuis, Arthur Mortimer (Darlene) and Patricia Moniz (Chris); her stepchildren, William Burrell, Jr., James Burrell (Terri), Margaret Burrell, Jeanne Burrell and Betty Holysz (Peter); her siblings, Edith Burnett, Alice Bush, Elwyn Beemer (Juanita), Donald Beemer, Delbert Beemer (Donna) and Howard Beemer (Phyllis); and her sister-in-law Jean Beemer. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Michael Lutheran Church in Portage, Michigan where she faithfully attended until the pandemic.
Although Thelma loved flowers, she also supported The Warm Kids Project https://www.warmkids.org where memorials may be directed.
