With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Meints of Portage, Michigan, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on September 13, 2021 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Stewart and Alberta Stewart (Patrick); and her sister Joyce Gregg. She is survived by: her husband Mitchell "Mike" Meints; her children, Cynthia Anderson (Christopher), Diana DeVries (Richard), Julie Hill (Tim), Larry Meints and Tammy Kiel (Gary); her grandchildren, Katie Dickens (Jeff), Jennifer McAnally (James), Erin Kokx (Kevin), Phillip DeVries, Daniel DeVries (Joy), Erica VanderMeeden (Jay), Andrew DeVries (Holly Walker), Samantha Westrate (Kurt), Brenda Hill, Kristina Houser (Danny) and Michael Kiel; her great grandchildren, Ben, Austin, Colin Dickens, Keegan, Kiersten Kokx, Kayla, Jason VanderMeeden, Cameron Odette, Orion DeVries, Emma Walker, William, Lucas and Millie Westrate; and her siblings, Juanita King (Bob Switzer) and Lester "Bill" Groves (Jean).
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Shirley may be made to Grace Christian Reformed Church.
