Richard Spieldenner Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Spieldenner of Portage, Michigan, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on May 13, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Spieldenner and Margaret Spieldenner; his brother Robert; his sister-in-law Joan; his parents-in-law, Junior, Ethel Vruggink, Nelson and Florraine Stegeman; his nephew Mathew Drew; and his niece Susie Vruggink.
He is survived by: his children, Laura Strain (John) of Naperville, Lisa Schering (Ed) of Kalamazoo and Roger Spieldenner (Denise) of Scotts; his grandchildren, Kelly Strain, Alison Madigan (Patrick), Mary Alphenaar (Charles), Sylvia Livingston (Greg), Ted Schering, Benjamin and Bradley Spieldenner (Olivia Welch); his great grandchildren, Macey, Elaina, Jonathan Alphenaar and Livingston; and his parents-in-law, Darle, Shirley Vander Schuur, Mel, Gloria Drew, Don and Jan Vruggink of Hudsonville. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren.
Due to covid, guests are asked to please observe proper safety protocols such as wearing masks and social distancing and there will not be a reception following the service.
