He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Peterson and Rose Peterson (DeDoes); and his stepson Ron Trout of Kalamazoo. He is survived by: his wife Lucille Esther Lounsberry of Gobles, Michigan.; and his stepchildren, Gary Lounsberry (Marguerite) of Miami, Florida, Debra Trout of St. Johns, Florida, Kevin Lounsberry (Debbie) of Allegan, Michigan and Brian Lounsberry (Tina) of Gobles, Michigan. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
