With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marjorie E. Brand McConnell of Portage, Michigan, born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, who passed away on February 28, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Lutz and Eleanor Lutz (Cook); and her former husband John Brand. She is survived by: her husband Larry McConnell; her children, Dave Brand (Lynn), Andy Brand and Laurie Stroup (Steve); her grandchildren, Charissa Groves (Spence), Tim, Isaac, Anna Brand, Hannah Batt (Jeff), Benji Stroup (Emmy) and Sarah Stroup; her great grandchildren, Tanner, Collin and Owen Groves; her grandchild McConnell; and her children, Kathleen, Karen, Brian, Maureen and Amy.
The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate, give to the John Brand Memorial Fund at the Sturgis Area Community Foundation, 310 N Franks Ave, Sturgis, MI 49091.
