It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laura Bell Smith (Portage, Michigan), born in East Cleveland, Ohio, who passed away on July 18, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Frederick and Doris Jeans Gühl (Bell); her husband Dennis Smith; and her brothers, Richard Gühl (Barbara) and Charles Gühl.
She is survived by: her children, Denise Pylar (Dan), Robert Saltzman (Heather), Melanie Nadwornik (Michael), Lisa Helms (Jim), Jim Smith and Bradley Smith. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
