James King Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James King in Portage, Michigan, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on March 20, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas King and Marie King; his sister Eleanor Carpenter; and his siblings-in-law, Herbert Carpenter and Sally Guenther.
He is survived by: his wife Mary King; his children, Joe King (Teri), Bob King (Kristin Moss), Daniel King (Michelle) and Kathryn Dennis; his grandchildren, Joseph, Jacob, Ryne, August, Jessica, Jimmy and Hailei; his great grandchild Erin Evans; and his brother-in-law Robert Guenther. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Unitarian Universalist Community Church of Portage, Michigan State University Department of Forestry, or to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
