He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Elzinga and Ida Elzinga (Scheffers); his wife Doris (Stricklin); his children, Jeff and Susan Jo; his grandson Jacob R.; and his brother Allen Elzinga.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Elzinga and Dan Elzinga (Shelli); his grandchildren, Amanda Perin (Coty), Trevor Doxey and Gatlin Combs; and his nephew Dale Elzinga.
