He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Evans and Bertha Evans (Bonnema); his siblings, Donald Evans and Jean Underwood; and his son Dr. Thomas Evans.
He is survived by: his wife Violet Evans (Vi); his children, David Evans (Barbara) and Brenda Gagie; his grandchildren, Margaret Smith (Jeremy), Rebecca Evans, Elena Evans, Stephanie Evans, Andrew Gagie (Audrey) and Anna Trullinger (Bradley); and his great grandchildren, Jamie, Harrison Smith, Adele, Maeve, Helen Gagie, Charlie, Henrik and Beau Trullinger. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
