He was predeceased by: his parents, Francisco and Ignacia; his wife Maggie; his daughter Lynda "Georgie" Cantu; and his grandson Timothy Cretsinger.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Cantu, Eloy Cantu (Marcia), Deena Cantu-LaPres and Elma Donner (Chris); and his siblings, Graciela Robles, Joe Cantu (Carmen), Sylvia Mosier (Gale) and Hector Cantu (Cindy).
