She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Charles Matthies and Cornelia Matthies (VanKruiningen); her husband Chester Marusek; her brother William Matthies; her grandson Todd Bond; her daughters, Christine Stephens (Philip Balsley) and Susan Rodenhaver (Randy); and her siblings, Wallace Matthies (Charlyn), John Kubeck (Judith) and Virginia Lum (Chuey). She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews; 6 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.
