A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home, 917 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo. Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of one's choice, in c/o the funeral home.
Age 65 of Portage, passed away Friday evening, November 29, 2024. Dennis was born in Kalamazoo on December 26, 1958, the son of Lawrence Leonard and Margaret Ann (Doan) Airhart. On September 25, 1993, he married Robin Lyster who survives him. Dennis worked for 42 years at Borroughs Corporation as a Supervisor. He loved football and was a huge fan of the Detroit Lions and the University of Michigan. He was also an avid golfer. Dennis loved camping up north with his family. Nothing was more important to him than his wife, girls and grandchildren. Besides his wife, Dennis is survived by his daughters, Nichole (Kevin) Isley of Burlington, NC, and Stephannie (Rob) Burris of Sweetwater, TN; grandchildren, Allie Jo, Jacob, Savannah, Oliver and Connor; sisters, Teresa Williams, Josie Airhart; uncle, Dick Doan; sister in law, Christine Ryan; brother in law, Michael (Cheri) Lyster; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends. Dennis was preceded in death by his mother; brother, Larry Airhart; his mother and father in law, Robert and Beverly Lyster; brother in law, Mark Lyster; sister in law, Karen Lyster.
