Barbara Jane Gariepy Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 27, 2024, at the age of 85, Barbara Jane Gariepy of Portage, Michigan, born in Laurium, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Catherine Dion (Panijan) and Jerome Dion. She is survived by: her son Lieutenant Colonel Emmet Gariepy; her daughter-in-law Kathrin; her grandchildren, Caelan and Lilliah of Leawood, Kansas; and her siblings, Claudette Vairo, Diane Farley (Harry), Sharon Provost and Robert Dion. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Barbara lived most of her life as a resident of Mohawk, where she was a lifelong devotee to her Catholic faith and spent countless hours donating her time to Our Lady of Peace Church in Ahmeek.
