Age 95 of Portage passed away on Sunday afternoon, October 13, 2024. Tony was born in Kalamazoo, on July 12, 1929, the son of John and Thelma (Surdick) Pelikan Sr. Tony worked for many years in the hydraulic and pump manufacturing business at Hydreco. He was a great outdoorsman and liked hunting and fishing. He loved working with wood. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Detroit Lions, Tigers and Red Wings. He also cheered for the University of Michigan Wolverines. In his spare time he loved to travel and spend time up North at his cabin which he built himself. Tony is survived by his siblings, Richard Pelikan, Bobby Pelikan, Janet Cady, Mary Ellen Jones, Carol (Robert) Carr; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends. Tony was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Johnny Pelikan and Jimmy Pelikan; sisters, Violet DeYoung, Frances Bolle, Pauline Bullis.
