She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Hayes and Illine Hayes (Putze); and her brother-in-law Thomas Monticello. She is survived by: her sisters, Cindy Monticello, Kim Hayes (Dave Rector) and Andrea Hayes; her nephews, William (Sarah) and David; her niece Laura Monticello; her great-nephew Liam; and her great-niece Hadley.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Grace Memorial Life Celebration Center (4521 Ravenswood Rd, Smiths Creek, MI 48074). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lindke Hall - Grace Memorial (4521 Ravenswood Rd, Smiths Creek, MI 48074).

Memorials are suggested to the Blue Water Area Humane Society.

“Vickie worked with me in a capacity of support while developing a certified diabetes education program at Port Huron Hospital. She was faithful in completing every task requested of her. She was a fun and light hearted partner in fulfilling the requirements to gain certification. Vickie loved animals and always had a heart to care for and find good homes for those that were roaming free. Peace to her memory and God's presence and love to her family.”
