He is survived by: his parents, Joseph O. Smith and Judith C. Smith; his children, Thomas J Smith II, Spencer C. Kerr (Branden) and Madison M. Fisher (Christopher); his siblings, Stephen Smith (Jodi), Sarah Thornton (David) and Mary White (Charles); the mother of his children Wendy C. Manter; and his friend Lynne Labbe. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home (1720 Elk St, Port Huron, MI 48060). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
