He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ameel and Vera Ameel; and his daughters, Cynthia Swinson and Dawn Bailey. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Mae Smith; his children, Kenneth Hartman (Cheryl) and Jennifer Fye (Bob); his grandson Karl Hartman; and his siblings, Gloria Struthers (Don), Kathy McDonald, Melody Fuller and Bob Ameel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
