He was predeceased by: his father Frank Gardner; his grandson Richard Gardner; and his siblings, Don, Edsel, Hubert Gardner, Donna Ostrander and Beverly Sizemore.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Collingwood; his daughter Shelley Stein (Lance); his granddaughter Renee Halifax (Greg); his great grandchildren, Cierra, Allana, Nollan, Casey and Kaylee; and his siblings, David Gardner (Susan), Bruce Gardner (Gail), Naomi Thompson (Lyle) and Dorothy Spencer.
