He was predeceased by: his parents, John Holodnick and Leona Holodnick (Champagne); his sister Nancy Kramarenko; and his sister-in-law Beth Holodnick. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Holodnick of Port Hope; his sons, Stefan Holodnick of Auburn Hills, Karl Holodnick (Beatrix Czegledi) of Northville and Peter Holodnick (Erin Largent) of Marquette; his grandchildren, Charlie, Maeve and Flora; his siblings, Jack Holodnick, Jim Holodnick (Jessica), Sue Healy (Mike) and Steven Holodnick (Cherie); and his brother-in-law Dan Kramarenko. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to the Port Hope Area Historical Society.
