It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Murphy of Port Austin, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on February 18, 2024, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Stephanic and Julia Stephanic (Gagola); her husband John Michael Murphy; her son Timothy; her son-in-law Walter Miller; and her siblings, Mary Ann Monaghan, Theresa Masar, Frank, Rudolph, Jan and Edward Stephanic.
She is survived by: her daughter Mary Ann Murphy (British Columbia) of Port Alice; her grandchildren, Devin Miller (Penelope Turner) and Bridget Miller (Adam Bergeron); and her great grandchildren, Declan Miller, Jack Bergeron, Theo Miller and Max Bergeron.
