He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Braun; his great grandchild Hannah Hammelman; and his siblings, Theresa Messing (Leonard), Ralph Braun (Margaret), Wilfred Braun, Tony Braun, Roman Braun, Norman Braun (Esther), Harry Braun (Jean) and Orville Braun (Pat).

He is survived by: his wife Dolores O'Parka; his children, Bill Braun (Diana) of Romeo, Janice Ventline (Walter) of Port Austin, Diana Braun of Evansville, Indiana and Irma Tercero (Ken) of New Market, Maryland; his grandchildren, Lisa Ventline, Christie Hammelman (Jason), Lori Kozlowski (Wayne), Bill Braun (Brittney), Amy Logan (DJ), Joey Tercero, Alex Tercero, Erin Wolford, Beth Nienaltowski (Mike) and Lacey Wolford (Andrew Pingitore); his great grandchildren, Tegan, Kole, Brady Kozlowski, Emma, Leah, Maya Hammelman, Liam, Molly, Landon Braun, Caleb, Travis Logan, Mila, Beckett and Reed Nienaltowski; and his brother Ken Braun of Harbor Beach. He is also survived by in-laws and numerous nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.
