He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Henderson and Francis Bonner-Thomas; his sisters, Geraldine Henderson, Verna Raye Henderson and Jessie Mae Lane; his grandparents, Hillard and Penny Bonner; and his great-grandparent Jack Tone (Martha).
He is survived by: his children, Dr. Verna Carthane (Daniel) of Pontiac, MI, Walter Henderson, Jr. (Karen) of Waterford Township, MI., Mark Henderson (Dawn) of Galloway, Ohio., Denise Nickerson (Nick) of Pontiac, MI, O. Patrice Burton of Auburn Hills, MI. and Beverly McGhee of Pontiac, MI.; and his niece Diane Calhoun of Houston. He is also survived by Fourteen grandchildren, Eleven great-grandchildren and Two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cobb's Funeral Home (151 Orchard Lake Rd, Pontiac, MI 48341). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
