She was predeceased by: her birth father Eugene Burns; her mother Rachel Thomas; her grandparents, Alma Thomas, Odell and Madie Burns; and her cousins, Roslyn Robinson and Marquise Robinson.
She is survived by: her husband Shevalier "Coach" Hay; her children, Shenessa Thomas (Cortez Norton, Sr.), JayShawn Robinson and JayQuan Robinson; her grandchildren, Chassidy, Cortez, Jr., Cherish, Cornell, Miliano and Jaymere; her father George Burgess; her siblings, Evelyn Robinson (Len), Reginald Thomas Ralph Thomas and Ugenia Whittaker; and her mother-in-law Arrine Hay. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home (268 North Perry St, Pontiac, MI 48342). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
